Who are We

The focus of our intervention is to create a new Africa media, journalism landscape that delivers value to its society through a professionally equipped, exposed, innovative, vibrant next generation, early career journalists poised for sustainable impact.

Africa Foundation for Young Media Professionals is a Pan African non- profit initiative established to raise the standard of media professional practice in Africa beginning from Nigeria. It is entirely a Media Skill Development, Mentoring, Debate, Awards and discussion platform with the aim of creating budding raw materials that will equip the upcoming and middle level/established media professionals in Africa media industry.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Our Project on DEI, (Diversity, Equity, and inclusion) is majorly focused on increasing the visibility of marginalized voices in the media. This project runs fellowship and media capacity developments which prepare and equip next generation of media practitioners to become champion of this.

Our organization’s activities are targeted toward Young and Early Career Media practitioners of 5 years and below, students of media, communications and Public Relations.

The headquarters is based in Nigeria with projected offices in Nairobi Kenya, Johannesburg South Africa and New York USA.
